Free tool
Free AI video ad checker for TikTok, Reels and Shorts
Upload a vertical video ad or paste a link, choose the platform, the country and the age of your audience, and in about a minute you get a score range out of 100, a review of the first 3 seconds and a checklist of what was measured. It is free, needs no sign-up and runs up to 5 times a day. The full review, with every issue pinned to a timecode and a fix, is paid.
Check your ad
The platform is the first thing the check needs: it sets the length range and the rules the ad is read against.
Reviewing your video
Waiting in line
- Uploading the video
- Downloading the video
- Compressing and splitting into scenes
- Measuring the sound
- Recognising speech
- Looking at the frames
- The expert model is reviewing the script
- Calculating the score
Free, no sign-up: up to 5 checks a day, a file up to 100 MB and 180 seconds, or a link to a public post. Without an account the video and the report are deleted after 7 days.
What the check looks at
The same 60 criteria apply on every platform. 19 of them are measured by code from the file, the speech and the picture, and 41 are judged by a model from the key frames, the transcript and the timings. The free check measures all of the first group and reads 12 of the second. Six categories:
Hook
Whether the first 3 seconds stop the scroll: motion, the first word, when the product appears.
Story & structure
Whether the script leads to a purchase: problem, demo, proof, pacing and no empty stretches.
Offer & CTA
Whether the viewer understands what to buy, why now and what to do next.
Audience & delivery
Whether the delivery fits the audience: language, speech rate, tone and the presenter on screen.
Picture & text
Format, sharpness, light, cuts, product on screen and text inside the platform’s safe zones.
Sound
Loudness, voice against music and noise, clipping, pauses and filler words.
One page for each platform
The platform changes the length range, the rules the model reads the ad against and the examples of what counts as a foreign mark. Each page also shows what the platform itself says about ads, with the source, and where our check agrees or differs.
| Platform | Normal length | Warning up to | Setting in the form |
|---|---|---|---|
| TikTok | 9–60 seconds | 90 seconds | TikTok |
| Instagram Reels | 9–60 seconds | 90 seconds | Instagram Reels |
| YouTube Shorts | 9–60 seconds | 180 seconds | YouTube Shorts |
| 9–60 seconds | 90 seconds | Instagram Reels (the check has no separate Facebook setting) |
TikTok
How the check reads a TikTok ad, what TikTok says about the first seconds, sound and claims.
Instagram Reels
Reels ads and the check: format, length, the safe zone and the single call to action.
YouTube Shorts
Shorts and the check: vertical or square, the length Shorts allow and YouTube’s rules on claims.
Facebook
Facebook video ads are checked as Reels. What that means, and what the check cannot tell you.
Limits of the free check
- Up to 5 free checks a day, counted for your browser, your account and your network together.
- A file up to 100 MB and 180 seconds, and at least 3 seconds. Or a link to a public post on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, Snapchat or Facebook.
- The score is a range 20 points wide. The free check measures all 19 measurable criteria and reads 12 of the 41 that are judged by a model. It does not list the issues or the fixes.
- Only advertising videos are scored. A clip that promotes nothing is not reviewed.
- Google sign-in, needed for the full review, does not work inside the Instagram, TikTok or Facebook apps. Open the page in Safari or Chrome.
What the full review adds
- The exact score, and a score for each of the six categories.
- Every issue with the evidence, a timecode and a fix for this video, and a list of fixes in order of priority.
- All 60 criteria, where the free check reads 19 measured ones and 12 judged ones.
- Curves of delivery and story along the video, the risk of being scrolled past and the strengths to keep.
Sign in with Google and your first full review is free. After that a pack of 10 full reviews costs $19, about $1.90 each, and larger packs cost less per review.
Your video and privacy
Unlike our safe zone and requirements tools, which run in your browser, the ad check uploads your video for analysis. Without an account the video and the report are deleted after 7 days. In an account the report stays until you delete it, and a lightweight copy of the video is kept for up to 6 months. We do not sell videos, do not share them except with the processors needed for the analysis and do not use them to train models. Privacy policy
Questions and answers
What is an AI video ad checker?
It is a service that watches and listens to an ad for you and reports what it finds. Quelta measures the file (format, length, resolution, sound, text position, watermarks) and has a model judge the rest from key frames, the transcript and the timings: the hook, the story, the offer, how it is delivered. It does not predict sales.
Which platforms does it support?
TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, X and Snapchat have their own setting in the form, and there is a setting for other vertical video. Facebook videos are checked as Reels. Links work for public posts on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, Snapchat and Facebook.
Is it really free?
The preliminary check is free: up to 5 a day, no sign-up. The full review costs a full check from your account: the first one is free when you sign in with Google, then a pack of 10 costs $19.
How accurate is the score?
The free check shows a range 20 points wide, not a single number, because it reads 12 of the 41 judged criteria. The full review gives the exact score. Both are an evaluation by a model against a rubric, not a measurement of results, and the rubric’s weights are expert estimates.
Does it tell me if the platform will approve my ad?
No. It flags likely conflicts with ad rules, such as unproven claims, but approval is decided by the platform’s own review.
