Listing video
A short video attached to a listing, added in Shop Manager on Etsy.com or in the Etsy Seller app, next to the listing’s photos.
For sellers
An Etsy listing video must be 3–15 s long and no bigger than 100 MB, and Etsy removes its sound, so the video has to work in silence. A listing can have up to 2 videos next to its photos. Quelta makes short silent product videos from your photos, checks every take, and charges from $20 per finished video up to 30 seconds.
Etsy has a single video slot, but two videos per listing and a player that is always muted. That decides what to put in them.

One placement. Where two Etsy help articles disagree on a minimum, the note under the cell says so.
| Requirement | Listing video |
|---|---|
| File format | MP4, MOV, FLV, AVI, 3GP or MPEG[1] |
| Length | 3–15 s[1] Etsy’s “How to Create a Listing” article gives a slightly higher minimum, so a second or two above it is safe under both. |
| Resolution | at least 500 px on the short side; 1080 px or more on the short side recommended[1] Etsy doesn’t say which side; the checker applies it to the shorter one. |
| Aspect ratio | between 1:2 and 2:1 (recommended)[1] Etsy names only the two extreme ratios and adds that almost any phone video already fits, so we read it as the whole range between them. |
| File size | up to 100 MB[1] |
| Sound | Removed on upload[1] |
Numbers come from the platform’s own help pages (sources below). Where the platform says nothing publicly, the cell says “Not published” and the checker skips that rule.
The Etsy pages cited here say what a listing video may be, not what it may contain, and they say nothing about AI-generated video. Two things shape the video: it plays without sound, and Etsy suggests showing details, use or making.
Etsy suggests videos that show details, how the item is used or how it’s made.[2]
We make details and use from your photos: close-ups of material, scale on a hand or a person, the product in a setting. A making-of needs your footage: send a phone video of the process and we build on it, because we do not stage a workshop that was never filmed.
Up to 2 videos per listing, next to the photos.[1]
Two videos can do two jobs, one on the details and one on use. We plan the pair together so they do not repeat each other.
Sound: Removed on upload[1]
Our product-card videos have no words and no soundtrack the story depends on: they are made to play on mute, as the examples below do. Nothing is lost when Etsy removes the sound.
Aspect ratio: between 1:2 and 2:1 (recommended)[1]
Our usual product-card shape, 2:3, sits inside Etsy’s accepted range (between 1:2 and 2:1), so a card video can be used as it is.
Length: 3–15 s[1]
Two Etsy help articles give slightly different minimum lengths, so we cut above the higher of the two and satisfy both.
Photos, a product feed or links to your Etsy listing pages are enough. Start with one collection or category.
Details, use or both: a listing can hold two videos, so we plan them as a pair.
Several takes are made without words, and each one is checked against your photos and the rules of the platform before delivery.
Delivered videos carry no Quelta watermark. Add them under Photo and video in each listing, on Etsy.com or in the Etsy Seller app.
Price. From $20 per finished video up to 30 seconds and from $30 per video up to 60 seconds. A pilot on one category is quoted per project. There is no free video plan: only the check of an existing ad is free.
A listing video on Etsy is silent, so there is no voice-over to translate. What changes from market to market is what the picture leads with and what text, if any, appears on screen.
Quelta adapts what the video leads with to local buyers: in one market it is the price, in another instalments or a discount, in a third quality and free returns. For a shop that sells to several countries we can make a version per market, with any on-screen text in the buyer’s language.
Product-card videos made from catalog photos, with no words and no sound. They are fashion and accessories because that is what the gallery holds, and none was made for an Etsy shop: they show the format, and a pilot starts with your own products.
Cases
The closest case to an Etsy seller: a home workshop that embroiders pets on t-shirts, one phone video in, an ad for the US out. It is a TikTok ad, not a listing video.
Case 1 Seller · USA
A home embroidery shop puts customers’ pets on tees from one photo. Great product, no ads.
3–15 s, and no bigger than 100 MB. Etsy recommends 1080 px or more on the short side and accepts between 1:2 and 2:1.
No. Etsy removes the sound once the video is uploaded, so the video has to explain itself with the picture alone. That is why we make listing videos without words.
Up to 2, next to the photos. One can show the details and the other the item in use.
The Etsy help pages cited here give the format, length and size of listing videos and say nothing about AI. Etsy’s seller policies are separate: read them for your category. Whatever tool makes the video, it should show the item you sell.

This page is written by Quelta, which makes the videos it describes. The marketplace rules come from each marketplace’s own help pages, copied with a quote and the date and read again when the pages change; where a marketplace publishes nothing, the table says so.
Quelta for catalogs
Quelta makes product videos from your photos, adapted for each of your markets by meaning, not just by words, and checked before delivery. Start with a pilot on one category.

Tell us about your catalog, markets and volumes. We make the first videos for one category, so you can compare them with what you have now. Then the same scenarios cover the whole catalog.
A product feed, links to product pages or photos for one category.
Countries, languages, platforms, generations of buyers and the quality threshold.
Localized for each market, checked and ready to post.
Every product, every market and every new arrival, in one style.
We don’t copy other people’s videos. Every video is new and about your product. We keep the mechanics that sell (script, pacing, delivery), not anyone’s footage, people or music.
